Our family has been farming in Kent for many years. In 1980 we purchased Upper Mystole Park Farm which is in the Parish of Chartham, some five miles from the centre of Canterbury.

Our farm is situated on the North Downs and our orchards sit on a chalk base, helping to give our apples their unique flavour. We are 300 feet above sea level and are rather exposed to the elements. This can lead to smaller fruit but helps to intensify the flavour of our juice.

Over the years we have planted new varieties of apples, established orchards of different types of plums, expanded our holding of blueberries and also introduced cherries.

Poor returns over the last few years made us realise that we had to diversify and in the autumn of 1999 we seriously started to consider making our own juice – and CORE was born in the summer and autumn of 2000.

Initial trials proved successful and we were very encouraged by the response to our early efforts. With the help of a grant from the Rural Enterprise Scheme funded by DEFRA we purchased our own press, bottling and labelling equipment and have continued to grow from there.

We are working on several new projects at present, details of which can be found on our News page.
